I found this poor little guy outside my office at work. It seems that it has a hurt or broken wing. I'm going to see if I can take care of it until it gets better. Any suggestions? If I don't get any, I will take it to the pound.

Here are some flix from the opening night of the unamed gallery at the Edison Building Lofts in Pomona. Many of the featured artist on display were some LA and OC's best in the tattoo and Airbrushing Scenes. Me,Shane,Dave and Little Joe layed down the tracks for the evening which had a great turn out. Until next time...

I dont watch BET let alone pay any mind to their award shows. I came across this video from this years awards which features cyphers being led by DJ Premier looping the break from James Brown's Funky Drummer. BET was once a great place for real Hip Hop but it now lacks any content that worth mentioning. So it was a suprise to see them put out something like this on thier award show.
It appears that the funky styles of James Brown and Charles Wright surely made their way across the US borders. Coming from the heart of Mexico's D.F. comes Rabbits and Carrots. Don't let the name fool you as these guys lay down some heavy Spanish covers of funk classics.
Be aware of whats going on around you. Things arent what they try and make it seem to be. They are out there to decept you and treat you like sheep. Inform yourself and others.
Could it be that Daniel Dumile AKA Zev love X AKA Viktor Vaughn AKA MF Doom will be performinig with Madlib as the duo known as Madvillian??? Or will it be an imposter like the 2007 shows? Lets keep our fingers crossed and keep checking http://www.wethepeoplefestival.com/ for any late breaking updates on the line up of this years show set to go down Nov 21, 2009.
Chico Mann is no new comer to the New York Music scene as he's been playing lead guitar for one of my favorite Afrobeat groups "The Antibalas". Chico Mann's Afrobeat roots are clearly present with a flare of classic electro sounds that only old school Casio keys can produce. He's has a few EP's (Manifest Tone Vols.1-3) as well as a handful of singles. I was able to catch one of his live performances on his brief west coast visit well over a year ago and I was blown away. He clearly sets a great vibe and make you move with his vibrant classic yet new sounds. I look forward to his next west coast visit, as he's hinted that it may be some time in the near future.
There has been a lot of hoop-la about fixed geared bike these days and some see it as new phenomena. However fixed gear bikes have been around well over 100 years now. Also fixed gear track bike racing preempts automobile racing by a long shot and even deemed Major Taylor the first African American to become world champion in the history of competitive sport racing. So there is a lot of history behind these bikes. I myself have yet to ride a fixed gear bike or "Fixie" for short but recently it has gained more of my respect. Even some of the BMX companies like Volume, Subrosa and SE have jumped in and put out fixie frame and complete bikes. Although my love for BMX can not be changed, I look forward to building a Fixie pretty soon. So I'll keep you posted on my new venture as it begins.

Rey Fresco hails from Ventura Cali and have generated quite a buzz on the indie music scene. These guys produce a unique sound that is comparable to no other band out right now. Around this time last year I saw them perform at the Pasadena Jazz Institute and was blown away by their talented blend of music.
These guys are some new comers to the LA music scene and have really grabbed much attention and buzz for all the right reasons. This LA based DJ\Producing duo have recently become one of my favorites. My first taste was their remixes of Phoenix's latest hit "Lizstomaina" and The Ting Tings "Shut up and let me go". Click on the links below to download some of their DJ sets.
Our beloved canyons above Azusa are on fire! They have estimated that there have been 750 acres burned so far. I send my best to all those hard working peeps who are working to contain this fire.

This past weekend my boy and I took a trip to the infamous Circus Disco in Hollywood to attend day 1 of this years Freestyle Sessions. The venue was packed with B-Boys, Poppers and Lockers from around the world. There were many familiar faces and new faces to this dance community right long with some of the worlds best.
I had a great time, way too much to see. The DTLA Artwalk happens every 2nd Thursday of the month. Plus they give out free wine!!! http://www.downtownartwalk.com/
